FaxBack Announces New Platform, Partnerships
FaxBack (Booth #1500) announced its new HTTPS Fax Platform at the VON Conference & Expo. This new technology enables fax machines and fax servers to achieve the same cost savings as voice calls, while maintaining the same reliability over internet-based VoIP, WiFi, cellular, or satellite connections, according to FaxBack. The company’s new platform also enables fax machines, desktop fax applications and fax servers to stream fax data over the internet with TDM level reliability, while running on relatively low quality networks. Meanwhile, FaxBack and Pangea Communications announced a technology partnership, where FaxBack VoIP fax solutions are integrated with Pangea’s flagship fax solution, Concert, to help drive the backend fax technology that powers Pangea’s distributed worldwide global fax network. This alliance enables Pangea to become the world’s largest and most efficient network for the delivery of international faxes. Furthermore, FaxBack announced an alliance with FaxSIPit that the companies say brings a higher level of density, reliability and convenience to the VoIP-fax industry. FaxSIPit provides a range of VoIP fax services that includes HTTPS fax connections from premise based fax servers, Microsoft Fax clients, and VoIP providers. The company’s SIP fax-trunking network leverages SIP T.38 and HTTPS to deliver thousands of fax documents in a matter of minutes, with quality and reliability that is equal to TDM-faxing. FaxSIPit utilizes AudioCodes’ Mediant 3000 back-end gateways for its network backbone, and they also work with tier-1 carriers for large-scale geographically-diverse deployments.
